Reissue Model 1934

This helmet seems like an ordinary black repainted Dutch M.34 army helmet that was originally an army helmet, judging by the green paint under the liner. The story evolved when I found a name and adress under the liner flaps of this helmet. With alot of help from a volunteer of the Schiedamse police I was able to track down the grandson of the original owner and put a face to this helmet. This helmet belonged to Hendrik S., a policeman who served in the Schiedamse police department from 1921 till 1943 when he refused to serve under the German occupiers who slowly but steadily took over control of the department.
