German M.40
This is an example of the German model 1940. It's an improved design of the classic Model 1935 which involved lesser production processes. In comparison it stays true to the original world war 1 Stahlhelm model. This example bears the Luftwaffe eagle and swastika on the sides which means it was originally used by someone of the German airforce organisation. Despite the fact that airforce does not really mean ground combat, alot of Luftwaffe personel fought in the east and west front when there was a shortage in men and played a key role in anti aircraft operations.
