An Israelia adopted MKIII helmet. When world war 2 ended, alot of surplus material was leftover. With the creation of the state of Israel the men and women of this new state used all kinds of material to defend themselves attacking Arab states in 1948. This example has received a coat of sand paint and a replaced liner.
